  • Nice gym with all the equipment you could possibly need. It's on the edge of campus and walkable so you don't have a parking pass. The rec at Kent State is so versatile. Rooms for gym classes, courts on 2 different floors, racquetball courts, punching bags, an indoor track, huge weightlifting area, enormous cardio area with elliptical, treadmills and bikes and even a ping pong table area! The place has ALMOST everything (except soccer). It also connects to the aquatic center so you can walk over to the pools, Jacuzzis, and steam rooms. I'm so glad I found the gym my freshman year! I was always super active in high school sports and making time for fitness was really important to my wellbeing in college. Mentally, it kept me motivated, energized and on a schedule, physically it kept me thin and ripped despite my beer guzzling and many a late night meals at Rosie's, and emotionally it kept me feeling like a strong, confident woman.
