| - The staff, most of them are very nice. Veronica, the Operations Manager needs to be replaced immediately. She is not there even when she is there. The room I had was dirty upon arrival. The floors were dirty, the comforter had burn marks in it as well as the blanket. This was supposed to be a nonsmoking room, cigarette butts were littered outside the room even though Veronica told me that the smoking areas were 20 feet away from the rooms. The kitchen was filthy! The stove top was greasy, the dishes were greasy, the coffee pot was dirty and had used grounds still in it from the previous tenant. The refrigerator was not cold upon arrival and had to be turned all the way up, but it never really got cold. The bathroom had hair in the tub and sink, there was only one roll of toilet paper (no extra), the bathroom rug had dirty foot prints. The lady at the desk could not change my room until the next day because she didn't know which ones were clean.
The next day I was moved into a room two doors down and it had the same problems as the first room only this time there were cigarette ashes in the dresser drawers. Veronica then decided to show her face and gave me a room in the front of the studio 6. She sent an employee to check the room who came back and said the room was fine. I asked to check the room and it was so polluted with cigarette smoke it was crazy. Veronica then explained again that the smoking section was 20 feet away from the rooms. I then asked her why the smoking area was 20 feet away from the nonsmoking rooms. She walked away and went to her office in the back of the office.
I found a new place to move to the next day and was informed by the person at the front desk that my room would have to be checked before a refund would be issued. I was told this was for my safety. when I returned to the front desk to get my refund Veronica was standing there and quickly said there was nothing wrong with her rooms. I asked her if the cleaning was up to her standards and she said that they were. I asked her if that included the cigarettes under my bed. She quickly walked away and left her rude front desk person to deal with the refund.
I should also mention that the phones were out the time I was there and the internet did not work. I use my AARP card to get the free internet, nice perk. I was told that the AARP card does not work at the Studio 6. Yet, when I called to report this place to the Guest Services I was told that they should honor the free internet for AARP members.
DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY!!!
