  • I was thrilled to find out Mayo is in-network in my health insurance plan, but I've been even happier with the care I've received so far! I've had chronic abdominal pain for over 4 years. Every doctor I've visited has tried one plan, and then pretty much given up on figuring out the cause. Dr. Schiff was absolutely fantastic. Although he wasn't able to cure what ails me, he seemed to genuinely care, which is more than I've received from most doctors. I also felt like he was very thorough, and I never felt rushed. The campus is also gorgeous. There's nature trails outside, and inside they have guy playing the piano in the lobby. I never had to wait more than 10 minutes past my appointment time, and all of the staff were very friendly. No issues with billing like others talked about. I'm guessing those situations relate more to insurance than Mayo itself. The costs were high for sure, but I think it was worth it. I'm also on a HDHP, so once my deductible was hit for the year, I definitely made sure to take advantage. If you're looking for top notch care, look no further.
