Though redecorated, I had a deja vu moment after realizing we had been in this restaurant in the past when it was the short-lived Arisra Thai. We ordered a pair of pate chauds, one filled with pork and the other chicken that we shared. The fillings were enveloped in a delicious, flaky pastry and with both fillings considered delicious. The gregarious owner stopped by our table and said he has been employed M Resort's executive pastry chef since its opening. Could we leave without trying one of his pastries? The short answer is no, so we shared an almond croissant with a generous almond cream filling that will require a return visit or two on a future trip. We did ask about the macaroons and were told they could not keep up with the demand so one has order them in advance - sigh!
