| - After a long day at the Carnegie Natural History Museum, and wanting to explore more of the very walkable area of Oakland, I ventured over to this ice cream shop. It was a very warm day outside, and I had done a lot of walking, so I figured I would treat myself. Upon walking in, I was expecting crowds to be insane (from reading other Yelp reviews), but fortunately there was no one in line; just a couple of people sitting. The guy behind the counter was friendly, and I asked him what was the most popular, in which he responded with birthday cake and chocolate chip cookie dough. I decided on the latter as well as an additional scoop of black cherry. Apparently the make their waffle cones there, so I found that to be a must try as well. Total came out to like five bucks for 2 scoops and a waffle cone. Sounds about right, I guess. The ice cream was reaaaally good though. The texture was amazing, and sitting inside the ice cream shop brought me back to days when I was younger and walk to the local ice cream parlor on a hot day.
I hadn't been to an ice cream shop in a long time, so I'm glad I came here! A must try if you are in this area!
PS - CASH ONLY!
