Dropped in for brunch and tried the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, there are quite a few good brunch spots in this neighbourhood but the abbot is sweet and simple. A cozy little bar with a nice ambience, the staff was very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The eggs Benedict came classic with fruit cup on the side, for $14 the portion was a bit small but brunch isnt a big meal so it was not under portioned either. My girlfriend had pea meal eggs Benedict but the the bacon was pretty poor quality with lots of fat and tasted a bit off as well. I like this spot but for about the same price and a more classic breakfast diner atmosphere hazels up the street has a more varied menu and better portion size for your dollar.
