| - I love this place. It is the ONLY place I will buy bagels from. When I moved from NY to AZ over a decade ago, I failed to anticipate that the every day staples of food I grew up with exist in very limited supply out here. My every-Sunday-morning-breakfast consisted of a bagel w/ cream cheese and some smoked salmon. Throw in a cup of coffee, the morning paper, and you have my perfect Sunday morning. Fast forward to me residing in AZ; where are the bagels at?! No, I don't mean rolls that are shaped like donuts (most places that sell "bagels" like Chompies, Back East Bagels, and other chains that don't do this food justice). I mean big, crusty on the outside, and dense soft dough on the inside bagels. Here is where The Bagel Man comes in. The taste, the texture, and the quality is the closest to anything I grew up with. All of their variety tastes good and fresh. Their staff is very friendly. If you want the best, be there at opening; but if you get there before me, save me some 'Everything', 'Sesame', and 'Onion' bagels. BTW, their smoked salmon/lox with cream cheese actually has chunks of smoked salmon in it versus the other guys who whip their cream cheese to the point that all I see is some pink in my cream cheese. Thank you, The Bagel Man for restoring my Sunday mornings.
