| - We visited BRIO on June 16 after a very unpleasant (uneaten) lunch experience at La Madeleine around the corner... walking the 100 yards or so over to BRIO, muttering to ourselves all the way "we should have known better".
Upon arrival we were greeted by the same realization of what we were about to experience; beautiful, relaxing atmosphere, background sound levels just right to enjoy conversation without raised voices, competent & friendly table service, and PROFESSIONALLY prepared food.
That afternoon we chose to share the Wedge Salad (with Gorgonzola, bacon, tomatoes, creamy Parmesan dressing) and a plate of Mezza Chicken Milanese (Crispy Romano chicken over herb pasta with Mozzarella & pomodoro sauce), and complimentary crusty bread and rustic crackers. All were ample to share, beautifully presented, and delicious.
Just some of the many reasons why we've been coming to BRIO regularly since the very first day they opened.
Our total $18.70 (plus tax)... only $4.32 more than the noisy, cafeteria style place around the corner with unacceptable food.
(Please see our review of La Madeleine for details).
