We will definitely stay here again if we come to the Charlotte area. The price was very reasonable for the quality of experience. The hotel is beautifully decorated and in pristine condition.
Our room had everything to make it a comfortable living space for our stay...a separate living room had a pull out couch, a desk, a flat screen tv. The "kitchenette" had a wet bar size sink, a microwave, a small fridge and much more counter space than typical hotel rooms with this feature.
The bed was in a separate room and was comfortable although all the pillows were a bit soft. It would be good to have a selection of pillows for differing tastes.
The location worked for us as we were going to a concert at the Verizon Amphitheater. It was only a few miles away. Even closer was the Speedway and a shopping area with plenty of restaurants. (I recommend Texas Land and Cattle.)
The breakfast buffet was a full breakfast buffet, not just a continental or a make-your-own-waffle type buffet. It had everything from fresh fruit and bagels, to an omelette station, to any juice/coffee/milk you'd need. A chart posted around the hotel and elevators showed what times you should expect the heaviest crowds during weekdays and weekends.
Overall this was a great hotel experience. My wife and I will definitely consider Embassy Suites in our next trip.
