Not happy with my appointments here. I was in a considerable amount of pain and at first was treated as if they would get to the bottom of it. It was thought to be my Filshie clips. They were more than ready to remove them along with my entire Fallopian tubes. After an MRI came back normal I went back in the office for the pre-surgery visit unsure of what to do. The Dr told me that she couldn't "duplicate" my pain upon examination. Well unfortunately I can't produce pain on cue. She made me feel like I was over reacting or making it up or something. She still would do the surgery but ONLY to remove the clips long with the tubes and she refused to explore around to see if maybe it could be something else. She said she could only do the assigned procedure. She kept pushing birth control on me saying it would help me even after I explained to her my previous intolerance to birth control and my family history of intolerance to birth control. Good grief why would I get Filshie clips if I intended to be on birth control.
I still have the pain from time to time. Every time I think it's gone for good I have a short spell that leaves me gasping it hurts so bad.
I'm just discouraged with doctors today. I won't be going back and don't have any desire to find a new Dr either. If it gets to where the pain lasts more than 10-15 seconds I'll just go to the ER I guess.
I truly thought a practice of all women would be sympathetic to women trying to figure out what is going on. Not the case here...I don't want to have my parts cut out unnecessarily and possibly still be in pain. I never called them back with a surgery date nor have they ever called me to see how I was doing.
Hope my story helps you make the right decision in your quest for a Dr.
