rev:text	We were referred from a friend who recently had to put their family companion down. They needed a vet to visit their home to do the procedure and a few months later we found ourselves in the very same situation. Our family dog Smudge, had an accident while playing in the yard, causing him to slip a disc in his spine area which had prevented him from moving his rear legs. We called 12 veterinarian clinics in the surrounding area before we received our referral to Columbia Animal Clinic from our friend. Our dog was roughly 140 pounds (American Bulldog), and we were desperate to get a Dr. To visit our home to take a look at our dog and euthanize him if necessary. Dr. Hill stated that he would make the visit, all the way to Cleveland I may add, after he spent an entire day at his clinic. His assistant, Rachel called us as soon as they closed the clinic and let us know they were on their way. Upon arriving, we were greeted by both Dr. Hill and Rachel who quickly and very calmly got to work while understanding the incredibly sensitive nature of what was taking place given how attached the family was to our dog. Smudge had to be euthanized given the nature of his injury. Dr. Hill and Rachel both worked slowly and were in no rush, especially after having worked all day, to allow the family to say goodbye to our friend and for smudge to pass on without any added pain. Our entire family couldn't have been happier with how the entire situation was handled by Dr. Hill and Rachel despite having lost our friend. Thank you for being SO compassionate and professional given our unique situation. You treated our family and friend with more respect than any veterinarian I've personally ever met. Thank You!
