We had reservations for 5:30pm. Upon arrival we are told that we have to be seated outside of the dining room because someone in our party had shorts on. He was dressed business casual. This is what he wears to work. We have had these reservations for a while as we were in town to celebrate a special occasion. No one mentioned anything about this dress code prior to our arrival and it is not noted anywhere on the website. So we sat to wait for our table and noticed some of the customers that were allowed to be sitting in the dining room! One lady with blue hair, capris, and filthy sneakers had no issues sitting in this dining room! Another gentleman with shorts on was also allowed in the dining room. I've never been so insulted in my life. That makes me think there was another reason we were not allowed in the dining room. Perhaps it was the ethnicity or skin color of someone in our party? We left and went to Delmonico and enjoyed the top notch service and accommodations and the gentlemen who paid the tab had no issues in this restaurant with his shorts on. These discriminatory practices at your restaurant are disgusting and I will advise any colleagues to stay away from this place.
