Some nights, Thomas Street is the perfect neighborhood hangout. The large back patio allows you to relax and enjoy the warm weather (or the glow of the heat lamps in the winter). But other nights, it's packed with a snobby crowd that resembles a frat party. Basically, Thomas Street has gotten too popular for its own good.
When I go in, I head straight for the back patio, where there is a separate bar and the smoke isn't quite so thick. The food is OK for bar food, but it typically takes a long time before it arrives. Still, the Ping-Pong is free, and the drinks are cheap.
