  • My son had an accident at school. He fractured and displaced his thumb. After a quick ER visit I was Refered to Dr. Hijazi by my son's pediatrician. I called Dr. Hijazi's office from the ER. The woman who scheduled our appointment was very helpful. She gave us an appointment with 48 hours which is what I wanted because I knew he needed to be put in a cast. At first I was worried because it was his right hand and wasn't sure if he needed to have surgery. I was debating on taking him to California to see a friend of mine who is an Orthopedic Surgeon. Instead I contacted him by phone and sent him my son's X-rays. He gave his opinion and sent my son's X-Rays to his friend who was a children's hand specialist at CHOC children's hospital who gave me the same opinion. I was told "No surgery to have pins put in and to have him casted for 2-3 weeks". The day before my son's appointment Dr. Hijazi's office manager called to confirm our appointment. She was a sweetheart. I told her I had contacted a couple doctors in California and I would be coming in for Dr. Hijazi's opinion. Most places would get upset because they feel I am wasting their time by coming in for an opinion but not this woman she didn't care. You could tell she just wanted to try to provide the best service and care. She was even kind enough to refer me to a doctor for myself that I was looking for. The next day I took my son to see Dr. Hijazi. He was AMAZING!!!! We didn't have to wait long to be called back. Dr. Hijazi was very gentle with my son and even joked with him. He suggested the same thing the other two doctors had suggested which made me feel even more comfortable with him taking care of my son's thumb. His nurse who put the cast on was extremely caring and sweet. She looked young but she was very mature and knew how to talk to a young scared child. The day they took the cast off we had the same pleasant experience. Not a long wait time, Dr. Hijazi was professional with me explaining what had happened and what to expect and again joked with my son. The same nurse that put on the cast knew my son was scared but she didn't work on him until she explained everything in detail and he was ready and comfortable. Dr. Hijazi and his staff are by far the best doctor's office I have been to in a long time. Always smiling and happy to help their patients. Wish we had more doctors like him in Vegas.
