Jeremy, the personal trainer, was 20 minutes late in starting the free personal training session included with signing up for a membership. I mentioned an old knee injury to him and told him I could do anything except lunges since they put too much strain on my knee. We proceeded to do a 20 minute workout comprised 90% of lunges. Each time we began a new variation of the lunge, I would reiterate that I had an injury, and I would ask if we could do any other possible exercise instead. He said that it was all in my head and that it was from years of doing squats wrong.
Needless to say, it was extremely frustrating, and come to find out after talking to friends who go, he does one generic workout with all of the free personal training sessions. He is not willing to specialize and formulate it for each individual.
