UPDATE: I added the 5th star because they do finally have free wifi.
__________
It took my best friend about two years to finally convince me to sign up for a gym membership. She had gotten a free week pass for me when she signed up at the Rainbow location and I was resistant because I didn't want to drive 20 minutes to go workout at the gym when I could easily work out at home. Once this location opened there was no reason not to join! Less than 10 minutes from my house and it's got WinCo, Teriyaki Madness, a Yogurtland (finally!) and (soon) a Chipotle right within walking distance!
The gym is always clean and the locker rooms are really spacious. Even on busier days I've been able to grab a locker and find a machine to use. The pool is finally open and I LOVE the juice bar (try Going Ape with chocolate protein. So good). Since the TVs have been hooked up, it's been awesome to just be able to plug in my head phones and watch a show or two while I do my cardio.
I only have a couple of complaints keeping me from giving a full 5 stars:
1. The women's gym is small, and people rarely re-rack their weights or put their equipment back. It gets really annoying to find the sit up bench in a new place and a new position every time you go in. There are also a lot of women who sit on their machines between sets. I'm talking 10 to 15 minutes just sitting there on their phone. That's enough time for someone else (or a couple people) to get in their first sets on the machine! Some people are just rude, and there's little enforcement.
2. WiFi. It is 2015. I pay for a membership and should be able to listen to my playlists on Spotify, Pandora, or whatever. I don't put my music on my phone and it's pretty annoying having to bring my iPod out on the floor with me when I could just have my phone streaming. If there is actually WiFi in this location (a few different networks related to LVAC pop up but don't connect), then advertise it!
