I recently stoped in this dealership and encountered
a level of service that I'm still in disbelief a few days later.
I own a Range Rover Sport. Fortunately I don't require service very often other than just routine maintenance calls. I happened to be in the area town where this dealership is located and I thought I would stop in and ask if I could just get a quick exterior wash due to a recent rain shower. Promptly upon my arrival a gentleman asked if I required any assistance. I asked if I could get a quick wash. The gentleman replied that he would have to check in the backroom. Upon his return this gentleman replied that they could give me a wash but they will have to charge $$ me for the wash. I was shocked!! I promptly turned around and asked the same question to the service manager, his response was the same. They only give "courtesy" washes when you bring your vehicle in for a service call. I was offered a card where I could get a wash from a local car wash business. WTF?
I don't believe I was asking for something unrealistic or out of line. A simple request for the first and only time since purchasing my Range Rover in two years. I was not trying to take advantage of anyone or abuse a courtesy.
BTW, I know for a fact other dealerships respect their customers and don't hesitate to show their appreciation and understand what customer service means. Next time I'm in the market for a new vehicle I might return to BMW.
