  • Byrum's is the quintessential Ma & Pop ole' country store...and, let's be honest, IS THERE ANYTHING BETTER?? Byrum's is only open for breakfast & lunch on Tuesdays through Friday (5:30 am through 2:15 pm) and breakfast on Saturday (5:30 am through 1:15 pm). [Closing on Mondays is new, effective April 2, 2018 and isn't yet reflected on their online hours anywhere!] Be warned that Friday mornings are usually quite hectic during the school year as folks pour in for a Friday morning pick-me-up to end the week! The parking lot is MOBBED! The atmosphere is simple, cozy, and down-home simple. An old-fashioned letterboard menu outlines all of the offerings (complete with hand-written addendums like the "Sauce Policy" and a warning that debit/credit purchases will require a $0.50 charge.) You order, wait to be called, collect your food, pay & enjoy. The food is consistently good and the staff is always friendly & efficient. It's the type of small-town delight that immediately puts a smile on your face and makes you want to be a regular!
