| - BEWARE!!! These guys are professional scammers. My garage door was reversing inexplicably. It was new with house- 7 years old. I called number on sticker of opener, and these guys came out. Fast service, seemed fine. I then find out that they were not original builder's installer, but they "purchased" the phone number from the original installer. Fine. Then, without hesitation, and without ever opening up opener and inspecting it at all, he proceeds to tell me some long and technical explanation of how Liftmaster has gone down in quality over last 10 years, and the gears inside are basically shot, and my springs are only builder grade and they are shot too, etc. Then explains how he can replace internal gears/parts and my springs for over $500!! but warranty only lasts 1 year, and it will likely fail again, OR replace whole unit with a different "better" brand (their "house" brand plastered with their name all over it) and get a 10year warranty for $600, and new springs at $200. His story and sales pitch was very convincing, and unfortunately I bought it in haste. New opener seems to work ok, which is fine, but a couple days later, I decided to google Liftmaster, my original "broken" opener, and found online manual for my model. To my horror, I discovered that it is normal over time for the reverse travel limits on the opener to need simple adjustment, if door opens once it reaches bottom (which was exactly my original problem!). So I was sold a whole new $600 opener, $200 springs and $100 labor for no reason at all. My original door was not broken at all and could have been adjusted by simply turning a small screw a 1/2 turn or so. Do your homework before calling a repair person, and steer clear of this company. They have many BBB complaints as it turns out. Avoid them at all costs.
