  • Okay, so we moved here from the Chicago area where there are some fantastic restaurants including THE best Szechuan/Hunan restaurant ever. Our expectations are very low here for Chinese restaurants. China Joy wasn't even bad...it was horrendous. Ordered out for their lunch special. I had egg foo young. How can you screw up egg foo young? They did. Sliced chicken on top of what can best be described as a potato pancake type patty. If their was egg in there, I don't know where. No bean sprouts in it. No chicken inside it. Disgustingly bad. Fried rice? Try rice with some soy sauce blended in. No peas, no carrots, no bean sprouts...not even fried. My wife had the Mongolian Beef which someone reviewed here as great. Really? Zero taste. Crunchy rice noodles on the BOTTOM, so they're now soggy? Also comes with the nondescript "fried" rice. Add "egg rolls" which are really bad spring rolls and China Joy managed to really ruin a lunch. So the search continues. We're just looking for decent Chinese food. Shouldn't be this hard to find.
