| - Attended the (incredible) Suns/Thunder game in which 250 total points were scored, a Suns win, and a career game night for Gerald Green (41 points, 6/6 from 3-point line in 3rd quarter). The facility is very nice, has been renovated to keep up with the times. Try to arrive a little early and grab a spot in the Casino Arizona lounge. The spaces are limited (maybe 40 seats) but you can actually stay there the entire game with great views of the court and table service for drinks/food. It's definitely a worthy tip if you have upper level seats.
As with any pro sport, expect insane price gouging for food and drinks. There are some budget items for $1.50 (basic hot dog, small popcorn, 20 oz. soda) so there's that option for the kids or a light eater. Take a walk through the center and you'll find lots of eye candy- souped up hogs blazed in Suns orange, team shop with deals of the day, VIP lounge, etc. There's really not a bad seat in the place for a game.
Plenty of action on court even when the game is not in play- Suns Dancers, the Gorilla shooting shirts into the crowd, raffles, games, half-court shots from an average Joe to win $7,777. It's fun for everyone and it really makes the time pass by quickly.
There are great options to eat and rink before the game starts, all within walking distance. Alice Cooperstown, Hard Rock, Tilted Kilt are just a few. Google map the arena and you'll see lots of options within a short walking distance from the main entrance.
2013 has been a great season to catch the Suns- they've been a surprise team this year with a real shot to make it into the playoffs. Do yourself a favor and go support the team with your friends and family.
