| - Its funny that you say they have a little play area for the little ones to hang out in...now I know they were discriminating against me....
I recently moved to LV and was craving my monthly dose of scrap booking. I found this store and brought my 2 nieces with me to pick out the works for new albums. Mind you, my nieces are 10 and 8 and are VERY well behaved. They did not touch anything unless I said it was okay. I can take them into a China store and wouldn't worry a bit! The girls wanted 3 Sizzicks (spelling?) die cuts so I asked the gentleman in he wanted me to pay for the paper first or if I could just go ahead and make the die cuts. Now...I did notice a sign that said no children under the age of 16 allowed to use the machine or in the "room". Fine by me, no problem. I'm sure you know that cutting a die cut takes all of 3 seconds each so the girls would just wait right by the door. The gentleman then told me that I couldn't use the die cut machine. "Oh, why?" I asked, "Well we don't allow children to use it", "Oh, no problem, the girls will wait right here for me", "Sorry, our policy is that you can't use it if you have children with you", "I understand, the girls are going to stand right here, it will take me 5 seconds", "sorry, we've had problems in the past and our new policy is that if you have children with you, you can't use anything." "So, if I leave the kids standing outside...", "No maam, I'm sorry we can't help you tonight". As I left the store I told the gentleman that he would be loosing a lot of money from me and he said in return "I doubt that". Agghh!! Are you kidding me!!
SERIOUSLY!!??!! I felt so discriminated against! What, because I have children I can't use anything??!! I can understand if the girls were running a muck around the store but they are VERY big into scrap booking themselves and they were so hurt that they couldn't do this.
I went home and discussed this with my family. We figured that as a whole we spend on average of $3000 a year on materials. As we looked at their website we noticed a picture of this same gentleman that was so rude to me...what do you know...he was standing next to a sign that said "Kid Corner".....ummmm, I'm confused.
Lets just say that they WILL NOT get my family, friends or my business ever!!
