  • A spontaneous complete kitchen remodel was made less hectic by Laurie, assigned to "Appliances". Laurie is my go-to girl for anything kitchen. In my countless trips to HD she is always here with a helpful hand, and reassuring way. Spending over 10k in appliances can cause a little anxiety and Laurie is a "No pressure, we're here to make sure you're happy", type of salesperson. Pressure makes a consumer like me panic, I need to feel like I'm not trapped. Laurie is the reason I return to this HD...always! THANKS LAURIE!! UPDATE 01/28/17 Kitchen remodel is complete and Samsung pulled through with my order. Home Depot did all they could to make it right. Samsung clearly needs to pull it together, no fault of Home Depot UPDATE 12/17/16 I ordered my appliances as stated above. We had a delivery date of 12/12/16, just in time for our sons welcome home party from his deployment in Afghanistan on 12/18/16 AND the holidays as well! Suddenly our appliances were NOT available, apparently SAMSUNG gave part of MY order away to someone ordering fewer items. I ordered an entire new kitchen. We received a call to set up delivery by Samsung over a month ago. Everything was in place. So it seemed. Suddenly more and more of my ordered items are not available, and we were given a 2nd delivery date of TODAY (12/17/16). We found it odd that nobody has called to set up a time. Called Home Depot to discover that the new delivery is January 3, 2017!! No consideration to the people's lives this affects, considering I found homes for the old appliances to make room for the new ones. So it's a snow-ball affect. When we ordered our 5 new appliances, it showed 4 out of 5 items being IN STOCK. We opted for them to all be delivered at the same time, when the 5th appliance became available (12/12/16). Now 3/5 appliances are NOT available until after the new year. Horribly bad business. Cannot express how extremely disappointed and hurt I am that businesses of such great success could have such poor customer courtesy. No compensations have been offered. No sign of caring for our needs as the consumer. This is OUR KITCHEN. These are the holidays on top of military home comings. This is unacceptable. I am seeking other options through other companies, although options are so limited at this point. The employees at Home Depot did their part in trying to help, I do understand that this falls on Samsung. But, as with any business and management, Samsungs bad business will negatively reflect on Home Depot as they are the business we purchased from.
