| - Pinky's has awesome food, great prices and unprofessional, unpleasant service. Ive been embarrassed to bring my friends and family here because the service is some of the worst I've ever experienced. And it's consistent. I'll get to the positive first. The food is fantastic, it's simple and humble but everything I've had is delicious. Especially as a vegetarian, Pinky's has tons of options that you can't usually find at other restaurants. Their veggie burger is great but my go to is the Stray Dog, a sweet potato hot dog with vegetarian chili, onions and slaw. It is SO good, it's been a long time since I've had a real hot dog but I'm pretty sure the Stray Dog tastes just like the real thing. Also for sides, their red potato salad is great, so are their potato chips. The entire menu is really affordable as well, with a meal with sides usually coming to around $10. But all is not well. I've been coming to Pinky's to eat for a couple years now, ignoring the subpar and unfriendly service that I just deemed to be expected from Pinky's. The food and atmosphere made up for it. But I just can't do it anymore. I'm sure I'll eat Pinkys again in the future but it will have to be To-go. The servers are so consistently rude and inefficient that I just don't want to leave another lunch or dinner feeling worse than when I came in. It's as if it's an employment requirement that you must appear disinterested and annoyed at all times. Servers have a permanent scowl and they make the dining experience uncomfortable for me and my party time and time again. Just today I was having lunch with my sister when a larger, older, red haired female server brought our fried pickles out. We had just ordered and finished another order of fried pickles previously but ordered a second. When she put it down I asked if we could please get another two ranches for the pickles. She LITERALLY rolled her eyes and cut me off to say "they're .75" i politely explained to her that I never received any ranch to go with my second order and she walked off while I was talking I was slightly stunned because she was so abrasively rude when I was just making a simple request. I have been a server myself for years and the way the majority of the servers here are is laughable. Lastly, I dropped my debit card on the ground and my sister put it on the table for me. a waiter walked by and interrupted my conversation to say "is that you prompting me to take my payment??" And pointed at my card. I was SO shocked and embarrassed that he would be so confrontational to me. I said "no, I just dropped it on the floor and picked it up but I'm ready for the check now if it's convenient" and he walked away with out saying anything. As a server if my table had a card out on their table i would simply ask "are you ready for your check?" He was so nasty and unfriendly for NO reason. It's maddening the way that no care is paid to service here at pinky's, napkins and sauces are often forgotten as well and drinks are left to go empty. I wish I could just not be a patron of theirs at all but the food is just too good.
