What some people think are semantics is really ignorance on their part. Village by the Grange is community development co-op of 10 residential buildings and several dozen town homes at their bases as well as in the courtyard behind this mall. They set out to build a mini city (village) in the heart of Toronto downtown with a co-op feeling and type of operation. The mall on the north east corner is an eclectic taste of all the residents who live there. There is no real definition of what was suppose to be in the mall, but over time a lot of retailers who cater to tourist seemed to have moved in. The mall is also a good snacking/dining for the many students from the OCAD university nearby as well as many of their staff. Though the food stalls are good for quick cheap bites but I wished there was an actual grocery store and not a convenience store.
