  • I have tried to like his place. The food is average for Italian. The bolognese is flavorful, the duck was good, but the ravioli are watery. If it was just on food alone, I would probably give it a better score. My biggest issue is that the owner is so unprofessional. It is a good old boy's establishment. Every time I've been here, I have seen him move his buddies with no reservations ahead of numerous reservation holders. I know, because last night I was with one of his buddies. We skipped the whole line. It was embarrassing, I thought we had reservations. I heard him on two separate occasions try to talk people out of waiting for a table. Rather than saying "it is a two hour wait" and letting the patron decide, he was rude and the comments were "we don't have time for you." Then, he asked a couple in the middle of their meal to relocate so that he could seat a large party. Finally, he yells at his staff. Not just a little snip. Screams at them. This is a tiny restaurant. Everyone can hear. He had assigned a waitress 16 people at once, at multiple tables. She was overwhelmed. He screamed at her for 5 minutes in front of everyone. The food is not that good to get away with treating patrons and staff that way. It was uncomfortable to watch. He has single handedly ruined every experience at the restaurant. I don't care if he is the owner, someone needs to teach him how to be respectful and professional. It is an embarrassment. Go to Alla Famiglia. Better Italian, and you won't get screamed at.
