  • Purchased 15 large trees here. They plant and guarantee for 3 months. Our trees died in 5 days because they didn't plant them right. One of the managers from this store, Don came out to check if the trees were all dead and told that they didn't dig deep enough to plant the trees. A couple of days later, he sent the crew over and pulled all the trees out. We waited almost three months for them to plant the replacement trees. Only because we wanted the particular trees over 15 feet tall. I'm not complaining. I'm happy that they planted the trees I wanted and I know they were hard to get. Tip #1. Deal with Don if you are buying more than 10 large size trees. He is super nice. He knows about trees very well and he cares about customers. What I felt from the other guys (I will not mention their names. One guy got transferred to Charleston store) was "Once they get the money, they don't care about anything." We spent about $13K. When we were having problems with the first trees dying, they didn't even want to speak to us. They didn't care because they already got their commissions. Until we met Don, we really regretted that we didn't use some landscaping company (more $) to do this job. Don was on site making sure the crew was planting the trees right. Tip #2. I do not recommend you to let them use your bathroom. This guy asked me to use the bathroom so I let him use it. He didn't come out for almost 1 hour. Not only that, I heard him opening my medicine cabinet!! WTF!! Maybe he was sick? If your stomach feel that sick to have to be in someone's bathroom for one hour, you should go home or go to urgent care clinic. You would probably say I'm terrible but I could just tell he was not sick at all. I just know he was just playing with his phone or something. I didn't have anything in that cabinet but I do not feel comfortable someone opening my medicine cabinet unless it's my friends or family. I would've given him Advil or Tylenol if he had asked me. Tip #3. Just because this store is the largest one out of three Moon Valley Nurseries in NV, doesn't mean they have more stock than the other two stores. I found out Charleston store and Eastern store had more trees I was looking for. It's worth going two other store and look around if you are buying a lot of large trees. (I'm not talking about tiny trees or flowers.) Tip #4. Do not trust the delivery time they tell you. I told them I want AM delivery because all workers have to leave after 6pm in my neighborhood. They showed up after 4pm. They kept me hanging telling me the crew would be here shortly. My whole day got ruined waiting for them. This happened twice. Even though the manager Don fixed all the problems, my overall experience with this company was terrible from the beginning. If I have to buy large trees again from this company (no other choice), I would definitely buy them from Don.
