  • I wish I could give zero stars. If I had to sum Cox up in one word, it would be CROOKS!! They lure you in with a reasonable initial price, then as soon as you're a loyal customer, they punish you. My costs have gone from $30 for mid-grade internet with "starter cable" (which are the same channels every person with a TV and no service gets anyway!!) to $67 for just internet within 18 months! First it went up to $50...then $55...then $64...now $67. As if customers won't notice. Try giving them a call, customer service is always rude! When I first signed up, the sales guy straight up LIED to me saying it would cost less to have a phone line as well. I get the bill, and see all these additional monthly fees! I had to go 2 levels up in management and spend 90 minutes of my time to get the fees removed. I REALLY wish I could leave Cox; they are manipulative and unfair. Unfortunately, it is the only internet service my apartments offer. I am moving when my lease is up just to get away from Cox, and will only live somewhere else that has another option available.
