  • My BF and I used to love this place, but things have made a huge turn for the worse. He surprised me with a small stay-cation here (we are both locals) and have enjoyed the place our two previous stays. The rooms are fair quality and the modern design is pretty cool. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back after what we dealt with last night. Upon entering our room, we dealt with sweltering heat. We first chalked it up to the room's AC being turned off, checked the unit, the remote, and nothing. The temp was set to 62 (the very lowest the unit will allow), but the air coming out was negligible to say the least. We made do for a while, thinking that as the outside air cooled down for the evening and night, so would our room, but no. We went across the street to the Hard Rock, enjoyed the casino for a couple hours, then came back to our room, still hovering between 85-90 degrees. By midnight, my BF was extremely frustrated and called down to the front desk to see if they could switch us to another room. (The place was only about half-full. There were plenty of rooms available.) But the woman at the front desk was bitter towards our complaint and said that there was nothing she/they could do, no repairman available to fix our unit, couldn't transfer us to a different room, and we'd have to wait until the morning to speak with another staffer. There wasn't a way either of us were going to be able to sleep in the heat, so we just packed our stuff and drove back home at about 1am. After dealing with the terrible customer service and no attempts at making our stay a bit easier and pleasant, I don't think we'll return. It's really unfortunate since we used to really like this place and have some good memories here.
