  • First off, I loved Mercadito and am so bummed it closed. The service, food & atmosphere was perfect wether you were a local or just visiting. I wanted to give Libre a shot, and I should've just stayed home. I sat at the bar (which I normally do) and was so disinterested in the new menu. I understand they weren't going to be lucky enough to keep their chef, but c'mon! A little creativity would be appreciated. I got an appetizer (stale chips) and some tacos. Tacos were similar to the street tacos you can get on the side of the road- but 10$ more because ... I'm not sure why. No flavor, nothing special and only made me miss Mercadito more. I wouldn't recommend going here and I will never go back. Nothing special, nothing tasty and nothing fun about it.
