| - So the Chaparral Suites is a nice suite hotel- the rooms are very spacious and open. The bedroom has a huge built In with mirrors, flat screen TV, and plenty of drawers and capinets. There is also a vanity with sink, mirror in the master which is nice if you come here and plan to share the room with others. There is also a bathroom with vanity and then in the living room area there is a kitchennette with sink, drawers, microwave, fridge, and counter space- kind of like a mini bar space... Its nice. There is also a little dining room area complete with table and chairs. There is a sofa bed and a chair and another flat screened tv. The decor/furniture is not new- but its not run down and its clean.
There is a sports bar/grill on sight and I was told at check in about Happy Hour- there is a few pools that I could see from check in and walking to my room- and there are a lot of people staying here. No one fishy but it does seem to be a younger crown, and then we have the class reunion staying here!
Did I mention there is convention space here?? Yep- they have it all here!
I didn't give a 4 star or 5 star because it is a bit run down, not in the sense that its not comfortable, but it could use a renovation.
The lobby is really pretty looking though- I like the style and there is a gift store.
The location is fantastic- right down the street from fashion square- I also saw a "bar Crawl" cabby in the parking lot- awesome!!!! Really though you can walk right up the street for smething to do. No need to be driving!
For the price this is a great option- tons of space, lots of amenities, and fantastic location.
Also- they allow pets for a charge of $25.00 (might have a little impact on my room of course as i'm in the corner room near the grassy area and it smells a bit like a smoking room which might be their "pet room" could also explain the older furniture- but like i said everything is clean and in good condition) Oh well I dont care, i Have a 100lb + pooch and i'm just happy they only charged me $25 and they even gave me a dog dish with dog treats and baggies!
Front desk guy was super nice too as was the concierge guy- Nice place, I would reccomend!
