  • Glad I was able to come this weekend I was in Toronto. I'm happy that I came not too long after opening. I am very impressed. Once you think you've seen it all, there's more. From a moving platform in a glass tunnel underneath the sharks and stingrays and other tropical reef fish to a giant Northwest Pacific waters tank to an exhibit solely for fishes of Canadian waters, this place is just great and had me busy for a good two hours. Many things are very geared towards kids, you can't exactly miss the big playground and crawl-through exhibits, but it wasn't overbearing. The aquarium is easily self-guided and you won't get lost. There are so many things to read and look at, do take your time. And of course, you will pass through the gift shop before you leave. No way to avoid that. I love aquariums, from the peaceful feeling of watching fish to the calming mood music they play as you observe our world's magical world of water. I don't care if it was a bit pricier than other aquariums I've been to, it was worth it for me for a first time visit. For Canada's newest and largest aquarium, they did a not to shabby job indeed!
