My niece turned 8 years old and had a cool, memorable birthday party at the Sundae Art Gallery with 15 of her friends. I drove in from Raleigh and had a blast watching all the girls enjoy themselves. The birthday girl had her pick of several cute images to paint. She chose a little owl sitting on a tree branch.
Andrea, the co-owner, was warm and professional. She did an impressive job of teaching the little artists, holding their attention, guiding them through the painting process, and balancing structure and creativity. The studio was spacious with high ceilings, and there was plenty of room for parents and kids to move around and interact with each other. My sister-in-law brought food and drinks for the kids. She mentioned that the price per head for the party was a good value and that she would recommend Sundae Art Gallery to parents and kids alike. We all agreed that the party was a success. I imagine the experience for adults would be just as much fun.
Oh, and the best part was walking around the studio and seeing each girl's painting. No two owls were alike as they all had an opportunity to blend colors and put their creative mark on their work.
