Misled by such fantastic reviews, I hired them on 6/26 for my 2 bedroom move within 15 miles of distance. Ralph came down my apartment for the estimate and he acknowledged that it's going to be pretty easy task due to limited furniture and also we were moving from a ground floor apartment to a ground floor apartment.
They were before time on the day of move and completed everything pretty quick. But soon I realized that hiring them was a mistake.
1) They first broke my small table while shifting the mattress in the bedroom. Ralph offered to fix the table and return it sooner. But I did not hear back for 3 days until I called him back.
2) They damaged my TV table and Dining table, probably they dragged them intead of lifting them or they did not secure them enough in the truck.
3) They broke the baby stroller harness belt and now I cannot harness my kid on the stroller. I fail to understand when you are moving a small stroller, why do you touch the harness belt.
Ralph returned with the table on fourth day with a patch of wood underneath to fix the broken piece.
He refused to acknowledge damages #2 & #3 are results of their mishandling, though the damages were pretty fresh and it happened only after they moved them.
He kept arguing and remained rude throughout the conversation and at last he just walked out without offering to make-up for the damages.
Damages are part of the move and can be settled if you wish to. But instead, Active Movers chose to be adamant, rude and unprofessional to the customer. Very much evident, neither they can handle the furniture nor the customers!
Would NEVER recommend them!
