  • Wasted half my Sunday at this place, and after returning back there, still have unbalanced, overpriced, low tread, winter tires. I called the place on a Sunday morning, and asked about used winter tires in a specific size, which they were advertising at $45, installed, including balancing. Got confirmation that there are a few sets in stock, they are $45 a tire, and that the shop is open. I said I would be there in 20 minutes, he said ok. I arrive there 30 minutes later, the shop has no name on the door. They are closed. I call, he says they will be open at 10 am, which is half an hour. I wait, until 10:05. I call again. He says they will be opening in 2 minutes. At 10:18, they open. The owner is talking on the phone. They wave me to drive in. 2 other cars come in behind me. I ask them to show me the 3 sets of tires advertised. They only have one. He assures me the tread is at 70%. The tires are ok, but maybe more like 60%. I figure that I'm already there, and $45 is an ok deal. I see that they start to replace tires without balancing or checking the pressure. They tell me that rear tires don't need balancing. After some insisting, they agree to balance all tires. It seems that they are too quick on the balancer and don't do a second spin to verify. Finally, after 12 pm, nearly 3 hours after arrival, I can drive out. Instead of charging $45 per tire, he charges $50. I called him on it, he tells me that winter tires cost more. I remind him about our phone conversation, he says "sometimes prices change". I didn't want to argue over $20, but this guy is dishonest. I take the car for a test drive. Surely, after 90 km/h, my wheels start to vibrate. I go back. Am told to wait in line. They finally do a proper balancing on the front wheels. 3 spins on each. After 2 pm, nearly the whole day wasted, I get out of there. The front wheel balancing is ok. The rear wheels vibrate after 110 km/h. I'm going back there a 3rd time. Just need to find a couple of hours time.... Ridiculous
