In mid-April 2014, my wife & I arrived to test drive a 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid. I really hate checking out any brand of vehicle as the salespeople ALWAYS think you're ready to purchase on the spot. The heck with checking out any vehicle other than ours! Sign here! I guess these salespeople must purchase the first home, boat, motor home, airplane, motorcycle that they inspect! Sure!
Our test drive was ok. The fit and finish of the Toyota Avalon Hybrid wasn't up to the quality we expected. After the test drive our sales woman took us inside for a quote. Soon thereafter, three other sales men/manger pushed aside the saleswoman to show her how to close a sale. They were great at putting any future customer under pressure. Unfortunately for making a sale, they soon realized that under their extreme pressure, I do not sign anything. My failsafe mode is to ALWAYS to say thanks and I'll think about it.
Why do vehicle salespeople think you made up your mind to purchase their brand as soon as you walk in the door? And yes my wife purchased a new 2014 Hybrid but not one sold here.
