  • I've now done all four of the rooms available for this particular Escape the Room company, and I have to say that some of the rooms would warrant 2 stars and some 4 stars, so I gave this review the average. The Agency and The Dig were both really fun...very comparable to my favorite escape room in the Pittsburgh area so far (a different company) with a story line / plot and some innovative puzzles and sliding doors and other well-crafted things that proved to be really entertaining. The only downside when we did the Agency was that ten minutes into our hour, they opened the door and let four more people come in to the group. It sort of broke the idea of being trapped, and we then had to waste time telling them what we'd already done for the past ten minutes. The staff really shouldn't have allowed that. Otherwise, though, a really fun game. The Apartment and The Newsroom were both disappointing. There was no plot whatsoever (why am I locked in some stranger's apartment who felt the need to padlock everything from his refrigerator to his medicine cabinet?). The Apartment is really all a series of padlocks and combinations...not much creative or fun. The Newsroom has a max. of 12 people, which is kind of ridiculous, because there weren't clues that could be worked on simultaneously, so half of our group spent most of the time not able to do anything. Also, both rooms rely heavily on the staff giving "clues" via the TVs. If the rooms were better organized, clues should be kept to a minimum. Some of the clues would never have been logically figured out without the "voice in the TV" telling us what to do. Our group left both of those rooms feeling disappointed. All in all, two of the rooms were really fun and I'd highly recommend them, especially if you like the Escape Rooms in Greenfield/Homestead. The other two I'd probably skip...not really worth the money.
