| - Total body workout classes--some less barre oriented than others.
I attended classes twice during opening week and once during a pop-up session, one class the TBC class and the other the Barre Code class. TBC is modelled after boot camp--you'll definitely do exercises like pushups, crunches, and some free weight movements like rows. In the class I attended, there was almost no use of the barre. Barre Code is definitely more oriented towards a mix of cardio, weight bearing exercises, and some barre as opposed to mostly focusing on the barre. The overall atmosphere of the studio is very positive and clean. You definitely will get a full body workout as there is a mix of cardio and strength. In terms of the workout, a small downside is that instructors do not explicitly tell you how to modify a workout to make it easier. Although no one will criticize you for modifying exercises as need be, this may be a deterrent for clients who need to make some exercises less strenuous.
The studio is very clean and welcoming, with two changing rooms and two bathrooms, as well as a get ready station for using a mirror, deodorant, etc. It is disappointing that there are no showers, as you'll sweat in the TBC class. For parking at the studio, plan ahead as you're on your own with street parking (parking in the area is metered for much of the week).
If you like group classes, this is a good studio to try.
