I've only been here once (not sure if I was just out of luck that day.... but it was enough for me to never return).. I had a groupon for this place and being a yoga addict, I thought give it a few attempts before deciding on a membership.
We came into the office where her young daughter was attending to the desk. Changerooms were not clean but I liked how the class was hot and something new for me ...Unfortunately, I thought her instructions were a little too forceful for my liking... I enjoy challenges, but I appreciate instructors who are calm and supportive of their students. I enjoy instructors can who make you work hard but who also understand that developing these skills takes time and practice. Also thought she could've told us to "deepen" our poses .. instead of yelling "push!!" ... It definitely didn't put me in a state of "zen" mindfulness.. Overall I thought she was kind of yappy and distracting.
I probably would've come back and given it a few more attempts, but after witnessing this teacher speak to a student so harshly, I decided there's no way I'd continue coming here. Here was a student who had no yoga experience at all ... probably had no idea what the heck he was getting himself into.... and was struggling so badly in class.. all he wanted wanted to do was step outside. I felt so bad for the guy because he really tried but just couldn't take it anymore. Class was over, and the two got into a heated argument. She kind of instigated it by calling him immature and niave. No clue why she'd start a conversation that way.... but I honestly think she could've handled the situation a lot better!! definitely did NOT come off as professional.. Not a good experience & will never return..... onwards!!
