I knew what the establishments were like that used to occupy this building so I did not have high expectations when my friend and I headed to this place last Saturday evening. We found the parking areas to be full - a good sign - and we were lucky enough to snag a spot as one vehicle was just leaving as we arrived. Once inside, we were pleasantly surprised to find the major re-do of the interior; it was so much more sophisticated than the bars that used to be here. The place was packed and lively, but because my friend and I wanted a more quiet atmosphere we decided to go to the patio after getting some drinks from the bar. The patio itself was pleasant and clean, and a server immediately came out to ask if we wanted to order food or more drinks. After seeing the menu, we decided to go for the Diablo wings; those were good: crispy, tasty, covered with a tangy piquant sauce. Everything about the place made for a really good experience - the bartenders, our server, the atmosphere. I think we've found our new favorite watering hole in central Phoenix.
