| - When in doubt, I go to Shiki! Shiki is in the Galleria shopping center, across from Wal-Mart, on the same strip at the Dollar Tree. Hint: there is no parking at the location itself, you have to park in front of Game Stop and walk across the street, but it is not bad at all. So you walk in and are always immediately greeted and seated. The décor is modern, clean and simple. The service is friendly, fast, and efficient. I always go for a hibachi meal that comes with soup, salad, and shrimp sauce. It is just like those big hibachi chains, except they do not cook in front of you and it is much faster. However, if you do want to see them cook, they have a big glass window at the kitchen and you are free to take a peek at your meal! The food is always hot and fresh, and the shrimp sauce is perfect! Our drinks always stay full and our waiter is always available and checking on us.
Have you ever tried fried ice cream? Well Shiki has it! I have had this dessert twice, the first time it was amazing, the second time (after I had raved about it) I found pieces of plastic in it, so I won't be getting it again. I wish this didn't happen because this dessert really is so yummy! They offered to replace it, but after almost eating plastic I had lost my appetite. Other than the plastic in my fried ice cream experience, Shiki is great! If you can't have a sit down lunch or dinner, they will have your take-out order ready for you to pick up FAST!
