| - Returned once again for a gal pal birthday bash. Alex (Alejandra) was our server. Very efficient, professional, and friendly. Since I've already reviewed this restaurant, I just wanted to give a review of the food we had.
We went during happy hour (4:00-7:00); got there at exactly 4:00, and the bar was quickly filling up. We luckily found a booth for the five of us -- the last one. I knew we had to get there at the start; otherwise, we wouldn't have had a place to sit.
We had the Big Ass Burger, fish tacos, rotisserie chicken flat bread, chips and guac, St. Louis Ribs, and, of course, our various and sundry HH drinks.
Before I get to the food, I had the HH manhattan. I was leery of having the Jim Beam Bourbon, but thought I'd give it a shot. Not bad. In fact, not bad at all.
The burger was HUGE and great. The fries were warm -- not hot out of the fryer. Too bad. No one ate the bun. In fact, we had some of the burger left over. I didn't especially care for the flat bread nor the fish tacos. The fish definitely had a strong "fish" flavor. For me, too fishy. I don't think my gal pals particularly cared for the flat bread as well, seeing that no one had seconds, and left half of it on the plate. The guac and chips were okay, nothing to write home about. Loved the ribs and the dessert. In fact, my favorites were the dessert and ribs -- in that order. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and flavorful. The dessert was lick the plate. I don't know what the bananas are fried with/in, but it had a crunchy crush. I don't think it was cornflakes. In fact, I'm fairly sure it's not. Topped with two scoops of ice cream and whipped cream and decorated with a swirl of chocolate.
I'd go again. I'd go for the ribs and/or the burger. I would really like to give our experience 3.5 stars, but I guess that's not possible. I guess I could say I'm half a fan this time around.
