  • It is really sad that I have to write this negative review over two lousy pieces of chicken! Tonight, my husband ordered a 4 piece chicken dinner from Chester's inside of this Love's. When he got home, he opened the bag and there was only 2 pieces of chicken in the bag, so he called to speak with a manager (Jason) and told him about the issue. Jason asked for the ticket number on the receipt and said he would call back in a few minutes. He called back a few minutes later and said he reviewed the security tapes and the clerk did put 4 pieces of chicken in the bag so they would not be making good on our shorted order. Really? First of all, there were only 2 pieces of chicken in the bag when we got home, not 4. There is no way he looked at a security tape and saw 4 pieces placed in the bag because there were only 2 when we got home and the chicken thief fairy was no where near our vehicle on the way home. I am blown away that this place will risk losing a customer over 2 pieces of chicken! We visit this Love's at least 3 times a week and spend at least $100 a week on gas, food, and sundries. This means we spend at least $5600 a year at this Love's. We are not some young, indigent punks trying to score a free meal, we are a financially established, middle-aged couple who would not waste our time or effort trying to score 2 free pieces of chicken when it takes us 15 minutes to drive back to retrieve it, hence spending more money on gas than the cost of the missing chicken! The fact that the manager could not figure this out is beyond me. We will NEVER go back there again for anything. I refuse to patronize an establishment that does not stand by their customer's and essentially calls my husband a liar by saying he will not amend our shorted order because he watched the clerk place 4 pieces of chicken in a bag when he clearly DID NOT, because there were only 2 pieces in the bag. I really hope it was worth it for them! It is really not about the chicken, it is the principle behind the whole ordeal.
