  • If I could give no stars I would. I went to Dr. Gatlin for a second opinion. He was recommended by a family member that had seen him years ago. I went in because I have PCOS and other issues and he recommended a total hysterectomy. I was 38 at the time and the only reason I even considered the hysto was because I have three children and I was tired of being in pain so I said lets do it. The entire process before the surgery was smooth. When the day came to do the surgery I was told that everything went great however I was in an enormous amount of pain. Three days went by and the nurse said I should be able to walk around by now but as soon as I tried I would feel like I was going to pass out. They did some blood work and it turned out I needed TWO blood transfusions. I finally started to feel better and they released me after 6days. When I was home I started with a fever and just didn't feel well. I called the office and was told that it was normal to run a fever when you have a transfusion so I tried to work through it. Days went on and I continued to call the office and they finally agreed that maybe I should come in. I was see by Dr. Gatlin and his entire attitude was different he was so rude and showed absolutely no compassion. Dr. Galtin examined me and I was shaking in pain and tears rolling down my cheeks he still continued to be an jerk and the nurse was just holding me and trying to calm me down. He still said that everything was ok. I went home that evening and continued to get worse my husband took me to the hospital where they ran tests and did a CT and confirmed I had a SEVERE infection. I was put on an IV and antibiotics. So here I am a year later and still dealing with infections some as bad as having to be on an IV for ten days. I refuse to go back ever since my original follow up. I have been in and out of UC and recently have been seeing a urologist and now they think that its possible Dr. Gatlin my have nicked my bladder during the surgery!!! I will continue to follow through with this. This has been a nightmare PLEASE BE AWARE AND READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS before seeing him.
