  • Alright, I have a huge confession to make...I'm terrified of going to the dentist. Well, I waaas, until I started coming here to Canyon Trails Dental Care. In fact, I was so scared that I went five full years before going in for a cleaning. And even then, I didn't want to go, I was just having some tooth pain and decided I'd better go. I was nervous for sure, and even made sure to tell the receptionist when I made the appointment. They let my hygenist know. Now, I'm not sure if I got this lady (I'm forgetting her name) with blond hair and glasses BECAUSE I was so scared and they knew she'd be really good, or if that's just how awesome she is. She kept talking to me step by step through the whole thing so I wouldn't be scared and then Dr. Hyde came in. Dr. Hyde is the best dentist I've ever had! Granted its because of my pediodontist that I was so scared of dentists before, she's really good at making you feel comfortable and having little to no pain. I was then told I needed five fillings (three of which were already filled, but needed to be replaced). So, on my next visit, I was given the option to have nitrous gas and I went with it. I was a lot calmer than my past dental visits and they even have movies they can have you watch while your dental stuff is being done. The first filling I watched 50 First Dates, the second I watched Ace Ventura. I couldn't really hear over the drill, but that's fine, it still helped. I have two more fillings to go and then I'm done, but I have to say from here on out I'm actually looking forward to getting my dental work done here by Dr. Hyde. A solid five stars!
