  • This place is in a really cool location and it's delicious, of course. The little store front is super cute and you really feel like you're having a perfect old fashioned relaxing day by the water when you walk up to the counter to get your sweet treat. When we came, there were people everywhere and the line never seemed to go down. I got a massive and fantastic root beer float and we sat down to enjoy some wonderful fresh air, the view and do some people watching. It was perfect. Mitchell's is good and even though I'm slightly ashamed to say it, I've bought into the craft ice cream scene. I like ice cream, but I love weird ice cream. Mitchell's is good at toeing that line--they have classic flavors as well as some "weird" ones and they're all good, without offensively overshooting the exotic. The service here was great. Everyone was eager to help (that could have just been the desire to get the line down) and very polite and nice. I walked away and completely forgot how long we had waited in line and could just enjoy the whole experience.
