| - I leased my 2017 QX30 in October from this dealership, on January 17th i received a letter in the mail regarding a recall for the drivers airbags in my car. Naturally, I am concerned on traveling 50+ miles a day in my car if there is possibly a defective part. I spoke with someone in the service department who told me if my airbag light is not on, then my car is not one effected by the recall. (Even though the letter I got from Infiniti had my exact VIN number on it.) I was told they were trying to order in replacement parts for my car but it would take a week or so, and until then I just have to wait. I expressed my concern again and was told by service department "Bring the car down and we will set you up." At this point I am under the impression that they would put me in a loaner car until they replace my recalled part (defective or not, its still been recalled)
I head down to the dealership, (a 30 minute drive one way) and speak with the guy who I previously spoke with on the phone. We go out to my car, he turns it on, sees that there is no airbag light on and again tells me there is nothing he can do for me except wait for a new part. (I already told him the air bag light was NOT on over the phone) I ask to speak with the service manager Mark at this point... Mark assures me that my car is safe to drive since my airbag light has not come on, and that there is 3,200 other people out there who have the same car as me and were all dealing with the same issue.... Now to me, if you have a SAFTEY RECALL on a VEHICLE no-matter how many people are effected they should of been more concerned with me and my well being. Since this location is franchised, Mark blames the fact that he cant do anything for me on corporate Infiniti. The discussion we had was very argumentative, and unprofessional. I feel like my time and gas was wasted driving to the dealership to be talked down too and told what could of been easily said over the phone. I am not excited to take my car in to get the recalled part replaced or my oil change done at the end of the month. I wish i would of leased from a different dealership who is more professional and handles there customers differently. Do your research on dealerships and how every department treats people, not just the sales department when buying.
