| - We saw the "39 Steps" here recently, and this was our second or third show at the Cabaret.
First things first: if you're coming here for the food or drinks, then don't. They are generally overpriced, made in bulk, lack attention to detail, and the servers are slow slow slow. I realize that they have minimum time to serve maximum people, but it's THEIR business model, not mine. For the purpose of having an after-dinner drink or dessert, it's fine.
The venue itself is very cute. There's not a bad seat in the house once you turn your chair towards the stage. As others have said, it's a very intimate place. The stage is well lit, good audio, and we've loved all the shows.
The 39 Steps was very entertaining, with all roles being played by the same four actors.
There's not much sense in reviewing that show, because by the time you read this, they will have moved on to something else.
Overall, I would recommend this place and the shows performed. Just make sure to eat dinner before you get here!
