Dr. Nishihara has been our pediatrician for fours years, and has taken care of both my children. I am fine with him being blunt. I actually like that about him... my children had been sick from before Thanksgiving to the New Year, With little colds lots of runny noses stuff like that. They are in school and daycare and it's their first couple years. They are building their immune systems. I took them every week when they were not feeling well, to make sure they where ok. My daughter ended up having the flu. Witch she had cought from her brother... Nishihara misdiagnosed, because he had it first from what another doctor said. I took them after this appointment at Meadows... So once my daughter caught it my son was over it. They wanted to check her for the flu and would not check my son the week before, I did not get that at all. I did not do the flu shot because they honestly both were not well this whole season to get it. Once they said she had the flu, Nishihara came in and said with his intern in the room. "Since you op-ed to not have the flu shot I have to document that you said no, so WHEN she died it's your fault not Mine." In front of my six year old daughter. Who still to this day asks if that is going to happen. I understand about the controversy of the flu shot, it was my choice and I accept that. I also understand what he said I get that as well but, DO NOT say in front of my kid that she is going to die. He needs to learn how to speak to people. I understand that's hard for some.
