  • If I could just give zero stars that would be too much! Worst place ever. My car was hit while in the grocery store and of course the person at fault didnt leave a note. So today I went to place my car in the shop and needed a rental for 2 days. I was told I could use a money order and all of the documents that I needed and was transferred to make the reservation. I was quoted $167 and some change, with $100 deposit. The documents I was told to bring in was a utility bill showing proof of address, check stub and that my address matches my DL. So I did an address change online with the DMV and had the confirmation to show that it was done. I called and s/w Eric and was told I needed the DMV printout. So I went to the DMV and (you all know how time consuming this is) got the print out. Then I got the money order and called them to see if the deposit had to be put in a money order as well, only to be told they dont accept them. I explained that I was told by ERIC that they do. He then asked if i had a money order for $300 and something because the deposit was not $100. I informed him thats what i was told by their customer service rep. So then I was told to put the deposit in a money order as well. I get there only to be turned away because my utility bill had a previous amount of $27. I took in the water bill and its billed every three months. So the previous amount was from the last meter read and the bill isn't due until April 24th and it is current and up to date. I tried to explain, but ERIC was really rude, pompus, smug and condescending. So I ran down a summary of the whole experience to them from being given the wrong deposit amount, to telling me I could use a money order, to telling me I couldn't use one and him acting as though he was unaware that I was told that when I had just hung up with him before getting there, to being turned away because he doesn't understand a utility bill. Then when I asked for a manager, he told me he is the manager (only to get home and look at his card that says he's the Asst Manager) and there was no one there but him. Then when I argued that there had to be someone above him, he gives me a number to a woman named Jennifer who I gladly called and left a complaint with. She informed me that the initial payment couldn't be in a money order and that you have to hold the reservation with a credit/debit card and pay with the money order when you return the car. So what I came to the conclusion of is this: he told me wrong information and had to get out of it some way so that he would not be reprimanded for it and had to find some excuse not to give me a car. I feel as though this was not fair and was not good customer service. That was bad, but the worst of it all was the smug smirk he had on his face as I was trying to explain the issues I had.
